Agilent Technologies Inc. is a technology leader in chemical analysis, life sciences, diagnostics, electronics and communications. Agilent has three primary business segments: Life Sciences and Diagnostics, Chemical Analysis, and Electronic Measurement. The company’s 20,600 employees serve customers in more than 100 countries. Agilent had revenues of $6.8 billion in 2013 and its stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

TARGET

Halo Genomics is in the commercialization phase of its proprietary Selector Technology™, a platform that enables millions of DNA reactions to be performed in a single reaction tube. The company just recently launched its first product in the market

SELLER

Halo Genomics was sold by the venture capital investors Olink and Almi Invest, the founding scientists who are all active in the company, and some private investors. The two main founders will continue as employees within Agilent in Sweden and the US.

TRANSACTION

A negotiated transaction involving a selected number of industrial buyers.
